Aprikyra is an interspecific hybrid of apricot and cherry.

slow-growing tree with blossoms on 1- and 2-year wood

Blossom:

self-fertilising, early, but after the apricots

Ripeness:

July, together with medium early apricots

Color:

dark purple-red

Appearance:

roundish fruits, the fruit size is between cherry and apricot

Taste:

the composition of apricot and cherry brings a unique flavour

Crop yield:

high, steady yields

Special notes:

very frost-hard wood; in order to obtain a good taste, thinning is necessary
