Bellamira

Bellamira is an unusually large, crack-firm, very aromatic mirabelle, that tastes best not only on cake, but also as a brandy (fruit schnaps).

mid of August to mid of September, 10 days before Nancy Mirabelle

Appearance:

large, golden-yellow, reddish-dotted at its sun-exposed side, round-ovate

Quality:

fruit pulp firm (to the bite), juicy, stone loosening, golden-yellow

Taste:

excellent, flavour of greengages

Crop yield:

very early onsetting and high yield

Special notes:

robust against Monilia, russet and aphids, despite good crop (extensive crop) fruits are much larger and more aromatic than the classic fruit varieties
