Kuresia

Kuresia not only convinces with its aromatic flavour, good fruit colorations but also with its beautiful pink-red and rampant blossom and is recommended for both the hobby gardener and for commercial fruit production, also because of its Sharka (plum pox virus) resistance.

Growth:

strong, robust growth, slightly broad-crowned

Blossom:

medium-sized, medium early, self-fertilising

Ripeness:

ripe for consumption by end of July/early August, approx. together with Ambrosia, somewhat later than Orangered, Strong Early Orange and Breda

Color:

well-coloured fruits, orange-yellow, red body colour on its sun-exposed side

Appearance:

medium-sized fruit with only light side seam

Quality:

Firm (to the bite), weakly pressure-sensitive, bright orange fruit pulp, stone loosening, medium sized stone. Very juicy when fully ripe.

Taste:

sweet-sourish, delicious apricot flavour

Crop yield:

good, regularly

So far absolutely Sharka (plum pox virus) resistant variety. For commercial orcharding in Sharka (plum pox virus) areas, also well-suited for private cultivation.
