Merkur

This apple is a very healthy cross between Topaz and Rajka, virtually its entire surface being covered with a conspicuous purple red. Merkur is fully aromatic, sweet-fruity in taste and keeps its crisp, fresh bite in nature store without additional cooling (e.g. mud floor in a cellar, or wooden rack) until the month of March.

Special notes:

resistant to scab (Vf) i.e.: scab-resistant because of resistance to malus floribunda, slightly susceptible to mildew; so far no (tree) cancer
