Rebella

Rebella is a multi-resistant, attractive, colourful autumn variety autumnwith excellent fruit quality and regular high yields. It is suitable as a dessert apple for commercial and private orcharding in environmentally friendly farming methods. Because of its resistivity, it is particularly interesting for the home garden.

Growth:

medium strength in growth, a loose, broad crown, together with a strong center, horizontal scaffold branches, good branching

Blossom:

medium early, mostly high regular blossom beset, low to very low frost-sensitiveness, diploid. Good pollinators are Golden Delicious, Idared, Pinova, Reanda, Rewena, James Grieve etc.

Ripeness:

fruit ripe for picking by mid September, ripe for consumption from harvest to December

Appearance:

Medium-sized to large, high built, medium strong ribbed, narrow calyx deepening, not russeted. Yellow fruit skin with green dots, up to 80% luminious bright red, flamed body colour.

Quality:

soft, yellowish fruit pulp, juicy, very crisp

Taste:

sweet with discrete sourishness, fruity, variety-typical aroma

Crop yield:

early onsetting, mostly high and regular; fruits can be stored in the cool cellar without getting crumpled

Special notes:

resistant to scab, mildew, bacterial leaf blight and spider mites, high compatible for winter frost, susceptible to cold fruit flesh browning
