Reglindis

Reglindis - robust to fire blight -  is a scab resistant early autumn variety with similar resistance properties to the apple variety ‚Antonovka‘. Its delicious fruits make it particularly attractive for home gardening.

Growth:

medium to strong, sloped upright scaffold branches, densely branched suitable as a slender spindle

Blossom:

medium early, high blossom beset, somewhat swaying, slightly frost-sensitive, diploid, good pollinator, good pollinators are Pinova, Reanda, Retina, Remo, Rewena

Ripeness:

fruit ripe for picking: early September, ripening somewhat later so that two or more picking actions are necessary; ripe for consumption: from harvest to October

Appearance:

small to medium-sized, medium high, slightly ribbed, yellow fruit skin, covered with 30–70% grained light red, smooth, somewhat pressure-sensitive

Quality:

Fruit pulp soft, yellowish, fine-celled. Crisp bite, juicy, delicate.

Taste:

fruity, harmonious, intense flavour

Crop yield:

early onset, medium high, somewhat irregular

Special notes:

resistant to scab and fruit tree spider mite, slightly susceptible to powdery mildew and fire blight, so far no (tree) cancer, highly compatible for winter frost, ideally suited for the juice industry due to its ideal sugar-sourness ratio (approx. 10:1).  

It is also recommended for meadows with scattered fruit trees.
