Rondo

This columnar tree is healthy by nature, scab tolerant (scab resistant Rvi6) and produces a good crop from year one. It convinces with a high fruit quality and a long shelf-life of the apples. Little space but the pleasure of picking fruits in the own garden - ,Rondo' offers the ideal solution.

Ripeness:

time for harvest: mid-September/end of September; ripe for eating: from harvest until February (root cellar)

Appearance:

large fruit, spherical, slightly flattened. Quite long stem (approx. 19 mm). Green-yellow, smooth fruit skin with approx. 70 % of striped to washy red body colour

Quality:

yellowish, firm, crispy, fine cell structure, yet very juicy

Taste:

sweet and sourish, excellent taste

Crop yield:

high and very early onsetting, tends to alternate bearing, therefore thinning is recommended for consistent, annual recurring yields

Special notes:
