Safir

This sour cherry is from Dresden-Pillnitz and can be harvested at least 5 days before ,Schattenmorelle'. It is robust, very productive and the fruits are well-suited for processing due to their dark and tinting juice and because they can be easily released from the stone. It is resistant to Monilia, grows moderately and is therefore well-suited for house gardens.

Special notes:

Only low susceptibility to Monilia and cherry leaf spot (Blumeriella jaapi). ,Safir' convinces by its regular and high yields. The variety is recommended by the Bayerische Landesanstalt für Weinbau und Gartenbau (LVG) (standard assortment for house and allotment gardens).
