Fruits trees may be trained in summer

An espalier fruit tree is a normal fruit tree which is trained by means of cutting and fixing (for example to a house wall) into a two-dimensional form. Such a fixing is very useful especially for small gardens as the tree needs only little space. Classic espalier fruits are among others pears, apples and cherries. During the growth phase they should be watered regularly and intensively – this applies especially to espalier fruit trees that are placed at a roofed house wall.
