Flea beetles do not like showers:

Take action against these pests with water

With the first warm days flea beetles appear. They crawl from their winter quarters – whether a mulch layer under a hedge or a pile of wood or stones – and pounce on the fresh cotyledons. As flea beetles love quiet they change their territory if they are disturbed by chopping and weeding. They do not like showers as well, especially not frequent ones.
